ASSE 6000 Medical Gas Certification Programs

Font-Page-CertificateThe ASSE 6000 Medical Gas Certification Programs were developed to provide qualified individuals with the certification(s) necessary to ensure that the individual has met the requirements of the ASSE Series 6000 Professional Qualifications Standard and are technically competent and experienced to perform theses tasks. The programs are based on the NFPA 99, Standard for Health Care Facilities, 2012 Edition and other various regulatory requirements.

These programs were developed by an ASSE 6050 Certified Instructor.  They are self-paced and web based, and the training modules and program content are all provided online.  The programs are comprised of a verification of work experience prerequisites, online training course, and a final examination.

ASSE 6000 Re-Certification - $199

The ASSE 6000 Re-Certification Training Program was developed to satisfy the requirements of the ASSE 6000 Professional Qualification Standard. It is web based and self-paced, and the program content are all provided online. This training is suitable for ANY of the ASSE 6000 certifications for update and renewal.

This program is a four (4) hour training course and final exam. The training course consists of nine (9) training modules and final exam. Topics include:

ASSE 6005 Medical Gas Systems Specialist - $395

6005The ASSE 6005 Medical Gas Systems Specialist certification program is a twenty-four (24) hour training course and final exam.  It is web based and self-paced, and the program content are all provided online.  The ASSE 6005 program was developed for medical gas system supervisors, architects, engineers, project managers, project estimators, code officials, administrators, or anyone else who has an interest in the proper design, installation, use, and maintenance of medical gas and vacuum systems.  The program is based on the code requirements identified in the NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, 2012 edition and the NFPA 55, Compressed Gasses and Cryogenic Fluids Code, 2010 edition.  Candidates will also be given a basic understanding of the application, operation, and code requirements of all materials, components, and equipment that are used in medical gas systems.

ASSE 6020 Medical Gas Systems Inspector - $595

It is web based and self-paced, and the program content are all provided online.  The ASSE 6020 program was developed to ensure individuals are technically competent and experienced in the field of medical gas system inspections.  The program is based on the code requirements identified in the NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, 2012 edition and the NFPA 55, Compressed Gasses and Cryogenic Fluids Code, 2010 edition. Candidates will also be given a basic understanding of the application, operation, and code requirements of all materials, components, and equipment that are used in medical gas systems.

ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel - $695

It is web based and self-paced, and the program content are all provided online. The ASSE 6040 program was developed to ensure individuals are technically competent and experienced in the field of medical gas systems inspection, testing, and maintenance. The program is based on the code requirements identified in the NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, 2012 edition and the NFPA 55, Compressed Gasses and Cryogenic Fluids Code, 2010 edition. Candidates will also be given a basic understanding of medical gas systems general knowledge, applications, component overview, basic operating principles and performance characteristics, critical safety precautions, troubleshooting, routine maintenance and testing, and common repairs.
